Background & Objective

The Business Women’s Association was established by the Lao Women’s Union on the 10th of September, 2004. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to assembling Lao female entrepreneurs and businesswomen throughout the country with the following objectives:

To assemble Lao businesswomen involved in manufacturing, trade and various service industries from both the public and private sectors, that are legally registered to conduct businesses.

To improve knowledge and skills of Lao businesswomen in new techniques, sciences and technologies in various sectors in order for them to grow continuously.

To represent and protect the legitimate rights and interests of Lao businesswomen by offering suggestions and recommendations to the government and relevant sectors, as well as to manage and promote professions in the economic sector that Lao women are able to perform.

To represent Lao businesswomen by attending meetings and conferences pertaining to the economy, business operations with the central government and various bodies of public authority on the national, ASEAN, regional and global stages.

Conditions of Membership

  1. be a female entrepreneur, Laotian, 18 years or older, and be the owner of a business located in Lao PDR that has a legal business license;
  2. agree with the Regulations of BWA; and
  3. submit their own application form to BWA.

ເງື່ອນໄຂການເປັນສະມາຊິກ

  1. ແມ່ຍິງທີ່ເປັນພົນລະເມືອງລາວ, ອາຍຸ 18 ປີຂຶ້ນໄປ, ເປັນເຈົ້າຂອງຫົວໜ່ວຍທຸລະກິດທີ່ມີສໍານັກງານຕັ້ງຢູ່ ສປປ ລາວ, ມີໃບທະບຽນວິສາຫະກິດຖືກຕ້ອງຕາມກົດໝາຍ.
  2. ມີຄວາມເຫັນດີ ເຫັນພ້ອມ ກັບກົດລະບຽບຂອງສະມາຄົມ.
  3. ມີຄວາມສະໝັກໃຈ ຂໍເຂົ້າເປັນສະມາຊິກຂອງສະມາຄົມ.

Benefits of Membership

  1. obtain information concerning the development of women entrepreneurs and to take part in meetings, workshops, training, seminars, study tours, trade exhibitions…etc, that are relevant to the members’ circumstances and supported by the Association.
  2. attend the meetings and workshops held by BWA in relation to the Association’s operations and cultural and socio-economic development, and to provide related recommendations and suggestions;
  3. request the BWA Executive Committee to provide help and/or protection if her legal business rights are infringed; and
  4. request information about the financial and management operations of the Association (i.e. transparency of BWA operations)

ຂອບເຂດສິດຂອງສະມາຊິກ

  1. ໄດ້ຮັບການຊ່ວຍເຫຼືອຈາກສະມາຄົມຕາມກຳນົດໄວ້ໃນກົດລະບຽບ ເຊັ່ນ: ເຂົ້າຮ່ວມຝຶກອົບຮົມ, ສຳມະນາ, ທັດສະນະສຶກສາ, ງານວາງສະແດງສິນຄ້າ, ຮ່ວມກອງປະຊຸມຕ່າງໆ, ໄດ້ຮັບການສະໜອງຂໍ້ມູນຂ່າວສານ ຕາມເງື່ອນໄຂ ແລະ ຄວາມສາມາດຕົວຈິງຂອງ “ສທຍ”.
  2. ເຂົ້າຮ່ວມປະກອບຄຳຄິດຄຳເຫັນ, ປຶກສາຫາລື ແລະ ລົງຄະແນນສຽງໃນທຸກໆກອງປະຊຸມ ກ່ຽວກັບກິດຈະກຳທາງ ດ້ານເສດຖະກິດ, ສັງຄົມ, ວັດທະນະທຳ ກໍ່ຄືກອງປະຊຸມຂອງ ສທຍ ແຕ່ລະຄັ້ງ ຕາມເງື່ອນໄຂ ແລະ ລະບຽບການ ໄດ້ກຳນົດໄວ້.
  3. ມີສິດສະເໜີຕໍ່ຄະນະບໍລິຫານ ສທຍ ຊ່ວຍໄກ່ເກ່ຍບັນຫາເພື່ອປົກປ້ອງສິດຜົນປະໂຫຍດອັນຊອບທຳຂອງຕົນ ບົນພື້ນ ຖານກົດໝາຍຂອງລັດ, ເມື່ອສິດຂອງຕົນຖືກລ່ວງລະເມີດ.
  4. ຮ້ອງຂໍຕໍ່ຄະນະກວດກາ ເພື່ອກວດສອບຄວາມໂປ່ງໃສ ຂອງສະມາຄົມ.
